All About Brandon & Kayleigh

We both grew up in Illinois and crossed paths in 2013 and our love story has been growing ever since. We became inseparable, spending our early years having fun, learning each other’s interests, exploring the world, getting married, and eventually moving to Arizona in 2019. We absolutely love it here and have grown together through it all, grounded in faith and love for one another. Our bond is unshakable, and our love continues to deepen with every season of life.

We enjoy traveling, hiking, spending time outdoors, relaxing by the pool, and trying new restaurants — but our favorite moments are often the simple ones: morning coffee on the patio, game nights, or watching the sunset together on a walk. We’re so excited to become parents and grow our family. We cannot wait to share these moments with our child, and we’re ready to pour our hearts into this chapter.

Both of our families live in Illinois—Kayleigh has her parents, an older sister, and a younger brother, along with nieces, nephews, and even great-nieces and great-nephews. Brandon has his parents, a sister, a niece, and a nephew. Despite the miles between us, our bond remains strong through frequent visits, phone calls, and FaceTime chats. We are grateful for our families and their unwavering support along our journey.  They visit, make memories with us, and cheer us on every step of the way. In addition to our biological families, we’ve built a loving chosen family here in Arizona—friends who support us like family and share in our joy. All these connections, near and far, are ready to be part of the village that helps a child grow and thrive.

Why Adoption?

Becoming parents has always been one of our biggest dreams. Along the way, we faced challenges with infertility and explored IVF and other medical interventions, which ultimately didn’t work out as we had hoped. While this was a difficult journey, it led us to a beautiful and meaningful path: adoption. We are grateful for the opportunity to grow our family this way and are excited to welcome a child into our hearts and home. Our hearts are wide open to love unconditionally, providing a safe, joyful, and faith-filled environment where a child can thrive and always know they are deeply cherished.

Family & Home

We live in Arizona and love our close-knit, family-filled community. It’s filled with parks, walking trails, and local events that bring neighbors together—a wonderful place for children to grow up. From morning coffee on the patio to cooking homemade meals together in the kitchen to cooling off in the pool, we cherish the simple joys of daily life here. Our big, fenced yard is perfect for play, family gatherings, and celebrations, and we love exploring the beautiful desert trails just beyond our neighborhood.

Our friends are diverse and have truly become our chosen family. Since moving to Arizona, they’ve grown with us, along with our vibrant church community, which we connect with multiple times a week. We love traveling, sharing meals, and celebrating life together. They’re all eager to embrace a child with love, support, and belonging.

How others describe me

(Kayleigh’s words) - Brandon is the most genuine and caring person I know. He’s playful, protective, and always puts others first. I know he’ll be the dad kids run to—for fun, for comfort, and for advice. He has a natural ability to teach and guide with patience, whether it’s showing someone how to throw a ball or simply being a steady, reassuring presence that makes everyone feel safe.

He’s also a big kid at heart—always ready for a game, a silly joke, or building the biggest pillow fort in the living room. He’s the kind of person who makes others feel safe, seen, and loved—something I admire deeply. I truly know Brandon was made to be a dad, and I can’t wait to watch him take on that role with our future child.

(Brandon’s words) - Kayleigh is the most caring and gracious person I have ever met.  She will do anything to help someone in need. She is more than a wife; she is the rock of our home, the glue that holds everything together. She’s our in-house chef, travel agent, financial advisor, GPS system, and the creative spark behind our holiday traditions and family fun. With all these qualities, I know Kayleigh will be the most incredible mother. Not only does she have a deeply nurturing heart, but she also has the character and biblical faith to overcome any obstacle. She will create a loving, joyful, and growth-filled home that sets our future child up for success at every stage of life.

how we met

How We Met

We met through a group of mutual friends!  Kayleigh asked Brandon if he wanted any of her cheese fries, and he said “no because I will eat them all!”  Kayleigh chuckled and they connected and added each other on social media and continued to connect through group meet ups as well.  We started talking and it has been history ever since!  We clicked in a way that led us to be inseparable.

Advice to Future Child

We love you already and cannot wait to watch you grow, learn, and discover the world. Life will have its challenges, but know that you are never alone—we will love you unconditionally every single day, providing a stable, safe, and supportive home where you can thrive.

Always be curious and courageous, explore the world, and never be afraid to make mistakes—these are the moments where growth happens. Ask questions, follow your passions, and trust yourself. Treat others with kindness and respect, and remember that empathy and understanding are some of the most powerful tools you will ever have.

We promise to honor and celebrate your story and culture with respect and gratitude, ensuring you always know where you come from and who you are. You will grow up knowing God, surrounded by faith and a loving church family, and we will nurture your dreams, supporting your growth in education, creativity, and personal development.

We will create lasting family memories through traditions, adventures, and everyday moments together. And we promise to honor the level of openness you desire, always speaking of your birth family with love and respect.

Most importantly, remember that you are loved unconditionally, exactly as you are, and that your story is unique and beautiful. We can’t wait to share this journey with you and help you shine in every way.

Perspectives on Open Adoption

We love that open adoption is becoming more common and fully support all levels of openness. We believe it’s important for a child to understand their background and have the opportunity for connection and relationship with their birth family, if available. We want them to know their story, understand where they come from, and appreciate the heritage and traits they inherit. We are also grateful for technology that makes maintaining these meaningful connections easier, encouraging openness and understanding in adoption.
