From the moment I met Dan, I knew he was special just from his kind eyes. He's the kind of man who writes song lyrics in my cards or writes entire songs when he misses me (or tries to make me dinner, despite not being the best cook). He brews me the best cup of coffee every morning. After meals, he cleans up so that I'm not on my own. He's not only my partner but my best friend and someone I can lean on. He's a great, godly man. He is patient, kind and sweet. He's very active in our church where he also serves as a deacon, worship leader and teacher in children's church. He's very musically talented. While in college studying for a math degree, he worked in a music school teaching kids how to read music and play the guitar. He's great with his nieces and nephews who affectionately call him "Uncle Pumpkin". He is the sweetest person I know, and I can't wait to see him as a father.

Jen is an incredibly caring and thoughtful person, and I know she is going to be a great Mom for many reasons.  She thrives in situations where the people she loves need help and she is the first one to jump in to fill a need. She goes above and beyond to make the time we spend with our nieces and nephews special with various activities like fun crafts, movies with snacks, epic games of hide and seek and video games.  She remains composed during times of stress. When her mother was diagnosed with cancer, she quit her job right away and endured countless long days of appointments, treatments and hospital visits.  Jen is all about a theme and our home is always decked out for the next season or occasion.  She particularly enjoys decorating the house for Halloween, where she also puts her creative talents to use by making her own costume and painting her face for all the trick-or-treaters.
