Hello! We're Jenn and Dave, and we're grateful for the opportunity to share more about ourselves with you. Our hearts are eager to expand our family, and we're deeply honored that you're considering being a part of this journey. We hope our profile provides insight into who we are and the life of unconditional love we're ready to offer a child.
We met in September of 2016 and we got married on October 12, 2019, in Jenn’s hometown in Maryland. In 2020, we purchased our first home together and have enjoyed doing DIY projects around our home. We live in a small quiet neighborhood in Pennsylvania. Jenn works from home for the local hospital system and Dave works for a family owned insurance agency. We have two dogs, Rylie is a 6 year old German Shepherd and Murphy is a 2 year old Lab Mix. They love playing with children, eagerly anticipate family & friend visits, and love playdates with other dogs.
Our shared interests include enjoying ourselves in the great outdoors, going on weekend camping trips, traveling to the beach, cherishing moments with our families and friends, cheering on our favorite sports teams, and enjoying lazy Sundays at home in the company of our dogs.
We've always known that we wanted to expand our family, but we've faced the challenges of infertility for over five years. After much reflection, we've felt called to embark on the journey of adoption to fulfill our dream of parenthood. We're filled with anticipation as we prepare to welcome a child into our home, eager to create new memories and traditions together!
We reside in a three-bedroom, one-bathroom home nestled in a quiet neighborhood in Pennsylvania. Our home offers a spacious fenced-in yard, providing ample space to enjoy the outdoors. Conveniently located, we're in close proximity to medical facilities, state parks, pumpkin patches, and several family-friendly outdoor/indoor activities. Additionally, we enjoy the ease of a short drive to both Baltimore and Washington DC. One of our greatest joys is opening our home to our families for holiday gatherings, birthday celebrations, and Sunday lunches.
Jenn comes from a small close knit family that has been an integral part of our lives, providing unwavering support. We enjoy watching the younger cousins play sports, our family camping trips, our beach vacations, and holiday traditions. Jenn’s “Meme” who is 83 still prepares a delicious Thanksgiving and Christmas meal every year. Dave comes from a sizable family, with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, a sister, step sister, and brother. Despite their spread across several states, we make it a priority to visit them a few times each year. One highlight is our annual trip to Michigan in July, where we gather at Dave's uncle's house. Those visits are filled with laughter, especially during our Euchre tournaments that stretch into the night. We feel truly fortunate because both of our families blend together, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere whenever we get together.
Jenn's creativity shines through her love for crafting and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. I believe her passion for these activities will offer our future child a wealth of skills to explore and apply throughout their life journey. Jenn has a natural instinct for connecting with children; she's the first to inquire about their well-being and goes above and beyond to ensure they feel cherished. I have every confidence that she will be an exceptional parent and mentor to our little one.
Dave is not only hardworking and kind but also possesses a wonderful sense of humor that lights up any room. His laughter and positive attitude are contagious. Whether we're out on a date or enjoying a cozy night, we always find ways to make the most of our time together. I have no doubt that these qualities will make him an exceptional father, bringing joy, laughter, and love into our family's life. Dave finds joy in home projects, Saturday mornings spent fishing, outdoor cooking using our smoker or griddle, and our Sunday morning breakfast at our favorite local spot.
We first connected on a dating website back in September 2016, drawn together by common interests. In the first year of dating, we enjoyed getting to know each other, trying new things, and spending time with each other's families. An exciting job opportunity was offered to Dave in Missouri, and together, we took the bold step of relocating. We got engaged in May of 2018. After a year of living in Missouri, we realized that neither of us liked being away from our families and friends in Maryland and Pennsylvania, so we moved back to PA.
Our advice to our future child:
We believe that openness in adoption strengthens an adoptee's sense of identity and helps them maintain a connection to their biological roots. Our goal is to do what’s best for the child, ensuring they benefit from our love and support.
