We’re Glenn and Jackie from southern California. We both grew up in the beach cities of LA. We’re blessed to have created a home and life together near all our loved ones. We’re a very down-to-earth couple who share the same interests, beliefs, and goals. Glenn works in software engineering, and Jackie’s a graphic designer with many years in the toy industry and now for automotive and aerospace safety testing. We have hybrid work schedules, allowing more time for our favorites: cooking or going to local restaurants, traveling on annual adventures to the snow or lake, and staying active. You can catch us at sports events, working on house projects, or simply watching our favorite shows and movies.
We hope to bring a new life into a home filled with love, generosity, kindness, and fun through the miracle of adoption. It has been about ten years of trying to conceive naturally, even with endometriosis infertility issues. Doctors advised it was possible so we had hope, but we believe everything happens for a reason. Through the journey, we learned more about ourselves and what is best for us, and we prayed for God’s guidance. After considering all options to have biological children, we felt adoption was the right path for us. We both have family members who were adopted (Jackie’s father and one of Glenn’s uncles), so we feel a special type of connection and understanding of how impactful and fulfilling adoption is.
Our home is a three-bedroom with a pool and large yard, in a suburban neighborhood located within a top-rated school district in California. Parks, markets, and restaurants are within walking distance. The beach is very close, and we go year-round, especially for the sunset. We’re also lucky to have Disneyland and Catalina Island as nearby tourist attractions. We are animal lovers with 2 fun, sweet, adventurous dogs, Shade & River, and our fun tortoise, Happee. Glenn got Happee for Jackie’s 21st birthday, so he’s now over 24 years old! We love taking Shade & River on lots of dog-friendly trips. They’re a big part of our lives, and we enjoy daily walks around our neighborhood, which has been awarded Tree City USA recognition.
We were both born and raised in Southern California. When we bought our home, it was important to us to be in good proximity to our families. They’re about a 20-minute drive away, and Glenn’s niece and her family live in our neighborhood. We’re known for having gatherings to bring everyone together to celebrate special occasions, plus small get-togethers for pool time, barbecues, and game nights. Glenn’s side of the family is big, with an older brother and sister, three nephews, a niece, three grand-nieces, and two grand-nephews. Jackie has an older brother and one niece. We’re close to our siblings, cousins, aunts, and uncles, and are fortunate to have lifelong friends who are also like family. It’s easy for us to host parties because everyone brings good vibes. We also have relatives in the Philippines and Hawaii. It’s always lovely when we can connect with them on vacations or big family events.
Jackie is friendly, compassionate, supportive, clear thinking, kind, a good listener, social, smart, and happy. She is creative, detail-oriented, and loves to organize events and gatherings.
Glenn is compassionate, clear thinking, communicative, smart, social, happy, and kind. He likes to stay active and fit, and enjoys house projects and improvements.
We became friends in high school, then a couple when we were 19. Eight years later, in 2007, we tied the knot.
Be kind and respect others and always remember to put God first. Be honest, trustworthy, keep positive, and always try your best. Dream big, don’t be afraid to fail, and learn from your mistakes.
A continuous connection to the birth family is beneficial for everyone involved. Our preference is semi-open.
