All About Jenny & Stacy

Jenny is a loving and loyal person who is very close to her family. She’s very down to earth and tries not to take things too seriously!  She loves spending time with her family and doing family-oriented activities. She loves being outdoors, working in the yard, swimming, going on bike rides, or exploring new parks and hiking trails. She owns her family’s manufacturing business and prides herself and her family on providing others with a great place to work. She loves photography, reading, and anything artistic. Jenny loves writing and has many journals that reflect her daily life, and all of the big and small moments in between!

Stacy is very caring and easy to get along with. She loves playing sports and is very dedicated to her family. She loves learning new things. If there is something that needs fixing around the house and she’s not too sure how to fix it, leave it to her to learn about it on YouTube and be a master of it by the end of the day! Stacy loves being outdoors.  Golfing is something she loves to do and she will happily use any excuse in order to take a day to golf! She loves helping people and is very patient and kind. Stacy & Jenny are both strong advocates for those in need and love supporting causes that help enrich others’ lives. Stacy works as a manager in IT/nursing.

Why Adoption?

Both of us are unable to carry children, but that didn’t stop us from wanting a family.  After we weighed all of our options, we decided to choose adoption so that we could give a child a chance at a loving and fulfilling life.  Adoption is an incredible exchange of trust and that is a recognition we have always held in our hearts. To fully understand the sacrifice and strength it takes for a birth parent to give their child up for adoption is truly remarkable.

Family & Home

We live in a neighborhood filled with a lot of families with children. We moved into our home four years ago and have enjoyed updating things around the house!  We have a swimming pool that has a shallow end where kids can splash and play. Our basement has a really fun playroom with a trampoline, jungle gym and countless books and toys!  We also have two dogs, Tucker and Max. They were both rescued by us and they have helped our house feel like home. Our home is a place filled with laughter, love, and family gatherings. We can’t wait to take your child to the park that is in our neighborhood, or to the zoo that is about an hour away.  Our town also has an awesome children’s museum where kids can play and learn about all different types of things. We also have a new soar park in our town that we are excited to try!  One thing we will hopefully share with your child is playing putt-putt as a family!

How others describe me

Jenny describes Stacy as fun loving and caring.  Stacy has an incredible gift of empathizing with others and taking the time to listen to what people are going through. Stacy is a really great friend to all of her friends. She travels to celebrate birthdays and special milestones with them, no matter the distance. Jenny would describe Stacy as her best friend, and someone who holds really high values. Stacy has an incredible work ethic and that is something Jenny values about her. As cliché as it sounds, she feels like the luckiest person in the world to have met and married her best friend.

Stacy describes Jenny as loyal, loving and kind. She respects Jenny’s morals and values and feel they very much align with hers.  Jenny is very empathetic to others and takes the time to get to know people and listen to their stories. She always wants to help and tries to spread kindness to others as much as she can. Jenny loves being creative and Stacy admires that about her.  She’s smart, funny and always focuses her attention on you so that you feel like you really matter to her!

how we met

How We Met

Our story began in 2008 when we met online. After dating for a while and having a lot of conversations about what we wanted out of life, we knew we wanted to be together forever.  When we first met, we lived in different cities, so we were automatically thrown into a difficult situation where we could not see each other as often as we would have liked.  Despite that, however, we spent the next couple of years travelling back-and-forth as much as we could until we were able to move to the same city in order to live together. During the time we have been together, we have tried our best to not take each other or our opportunities for granted.  The lives we have are a blessing and we both feel that our upbringings and our families helped shape us as individuals in order to handle the good and bad in life.

Advice to Future Child

We want you to know how loved you are. Your life and story are so important and we hope you carry that knowledge with you for your entire life.  From your birth parent(s) to your adoptive parents/and extended family, you have been loved from day one and will continue to be loved and supported 100%.  As your adoptive parents, we want you to know we will be your biggest champions, always supporting you in any endeavor you choose to do.  We will always strive to provide you with endless opportunities, while teaching you how to handle what life might try to throw at you.  We will always be an open book about where you come from and will encourage you to express your feelings, no matter what.  We want you to understand that there is nothing in this life you could ever do to make us stop loving you. You are so loved and will be supported by us from day one.

Perspectives on Open Adoption

Open adoption is an opportunity for your child to know and understand who their birth parent(s) are and where they come from.  We both support any type of adoption the birth parent(s) choose to have with us.  To understand the world of adoption we have to recognize that adoption stories are unique; they are contrastingly beautiful and painful, wholesome and gut-wrenching. Most adoption stories are all of these things at once.  We understand that not everything with adoption is black and white and we respect that.
