Hello! Thank you so much for taking the time to view our profile. We are very excited to be on this journey to adopt, and hope that you will join us for the adventure.
Jeremy grew up in Los Alamos, New Mexico, where his parents still live. His childhood was filled with video games, time with friends outside, and going on adventures with his parents. They were mainly to see his relatives in Hawaii, Chicago, and Washington. These travels instilled a love of airplanes in him and led him to pursue a career in the airline industry.
Carolyn was raised in Washington State, and it has always been home. She has one older brother (Keith) who lives in Colorado with his wife and two children. Carolyn’s Mom and Dad are still in Washington, and we see them at least once a month. Growing up, their family was extremely close, sharing a love of baseball, music, game nights, and holding weekly family meetings to stay connected to one another.
Our journey to become parents has been one that has been long and filled with every imaginable turn, but we have never given up. We have simply looked at our path and looked for the best option for our family, which has led us to adoption. Through Carolyn’s work, she has seen firsthand what it is like when children are not given the opportunity to have the best start in life. Our drive to adopt lies in wanting to provide unconditional love, financial stability, and a wide range of opportunities for the child at every stage of life.
Our home is in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood with great schools and parks nearby. Right now, it is just the two of us, and a Lhasa Apso poodle mix named Salty, who is thrilled to be the best big brother.
Relationships with family and friends is something that we hold dear to us. Jeremy has a majority of his aunts, uncles, and cousins in the state. We see them at least once a year for a large summer family reunion where time is spent: barbecuing, playing lawn games, chasing children on swing sets, and catching up on life. Jeremy’s parents live in New Mexico, and they come to visit at least once every year, and are thrilled to be grandparents! Jeremy also has a couple of close friends that he has known since childhood, and he proudly tells them that they will be uncles!
Even though Keith and his family live in Colorado, we visit whenever we can and spend quality time with them when they visit Washington. We stay closely connected with the help of video chats and exchanging photos on various apps. Carolyn’s mom and dad live nearby, and are so excited to have the opportunity to be grandparents again. They are affectionately referred to as Peach and Grandpa by all of the grandkids. They look forward to being able to take part in their new grandchild’s life and experience all of the firsts and activities. Carolyn also has a close childhood friend (Mick). Her family and his are close-knit and have always considered each other family. They have spent every Christmas, Thanksgiving, and many milestones and family vacations together. One of our favorite things that we share with Mick and his wife is our wedding anniversary date. We are also honored to be considered as aunt and uncle to his three children.
Jeremy is described as: hardworking, funny, motivated, passionate, and kind. The thing that Carolyn loves most about Jeremy is his determination to find the best in everyone that he meets. Carolyn is described as: fun, loving, determined, dedicated, and empathetic. The thing that Jeremy loves most about Carolyn is her huge heart and giving nature.
As a couple, we are described as grounded, kind-hearted individuals who are honest, hardworking, and family-oriented.
Our love story is one that began online, so it is no surprise to us that here we are making an online profile to expand our family! We met officially in September of 2016 for what was going to be a quick coffee date at the local Starbucks. There was instant chemistry, and that cup of coffee led to spending the entire afternoon together. Some of our favorite memories from that day were seeing the sights of downtown Seattle together and going to a movie that we were both excited to see. That first date was the start of an amazing adventure. Our love blossomed as we shared our favorite activities together. While we love all of our memories together, our best adventures have been during trips. With Jeremy working for an airline, we have been afforded the opportunity to travel very easily. We have flown to San Francisco to watch our beloved Seattle Seahawks play football, New Mexico and Colorado to visit family and friends, Hawaii for a few days of relaxation on the beach, and traveled abroad to cross a destination off of both of our bucket lists.
In April of 2018, we flew to Italy for an adventure that neither one of us would forget. We spent a week: seeing the sites, taking a cooking class to learn how to make ravioli from scratch, befriending the locals, and of course, eating all of the gelato that we could get our hands on. On the last full day in Venice, we had made plans to treat ourselves to a nice dinner to cap off the trip… or so Carolyn thought. Jeremy said that he wanted to get a picture in front of a beautiful blown glass sculpture, and enticed a local to participate. He then got down on one knee and proposed, and of course, Carolyn said yes with tears rolling down her face. We were married in July of 2019, and Keith (Carolyn’s brother) became an ordained minister to perform the ceremony. It was definitely a family affair with Carolyn’s niece being the flower girl, her sister-in-law being the Matron of Honor, and her baby nephew sporting his first bow tie for the occasion.
Dear Baby M,
From the moment that we knew of you, we loved you with our whole hearts and imagined who you would grow to be. We know that we may not have given you the gift of life, but life has given us the gift of you. We want you to know that whoever you become, you were chosen, deeply wanted, and have a whole village around you that wants only the best for you.
We know that this life will give you both challenges and joys, and both will help you grow. Treat people with respect, stand up for what you believe in, and never be afraid to dream big. Know that mistakes are simply stepping stones to wisdom, and you are never alone—we will always be here to guide, love, and cheer you on."
We are so excited to have you on this amazing adventure with us, and we can not wait to see where it leads.
Love,
Mom and Dad
We intend to raise our child knowing their heritage and being proud of who they are. We will always make sure that our child knows their story, and what makes them uniquely them. They will know that their birth parents' choice to select adoption was made from a place of love, care, and courage.
We look forward to having open and consistent communication with the birth parents as it feels right to them so that we can all form relationships. We imagine that this will be done through sharing tons of photos, writing regular updates, and having warm and relaxed face-to-face visits.
