All About Kevin & Kristen

We are Kevin and Kristen, hi and welcome to our profile!

Thank you for considering adoption, we are very appreciative that you are willing to do something so incredibly selfless. Also, thank you for taking the time to look at our profile. Below we have done our best to give you insights to who we are, the parents we want to be and how grateful we are to you.

Kevin is outgoing and charismatic, easily the favorite uncle to our nieces and nephews and someone that people want to know and befriend immediately.

Kristen is more reserved and thoughtful in her interactions. She cares deeply for those she loves, likes to build people up, and will make sure everyone is taken care of.

We complement each other's strengths and protect each other's weaknesses greatly. Our relationship is built on honesty, respect and staying true to ourselves. Love, laughter and joy fill our home and our hearts.

Why Adoption?

Prior to getting engaged, we discussed our future hopes and aspirations. Having children was, and still is one of our greatest hopes. We have been trying to get pregnant for a few years now without success. We considered fertility treatment, but realized that there are courageous and strong women, like you, looking for loving homes for their babies and how amazing it would be to be a part of that journey with you.

Family & Home

Columbus, Ohio is home. We enjoy this area and take advantage of all it has to offer. It is common for us to go to sporting events, concerts, parks, the movie theater and much more. We are blessed with family, friends, co-workers, and teammates who make up our support system and have helped to get us this far in our journey to starting a family. Often, our weekends are spent visiting our families and we like seeing our friends on a regular basis. It is exciting to think about sharing all of these experiences and fun times with our children, knowing the people in our lives will welcome them with love and support.

Kristen fell in love with Kevin’s generous heart, bold personality, and his passion for life. Kevin loves how supportive Kristen is, her caring nature, and her can-do attitude.

Kristen: I love Kevin's passion for life. He is passionate about his work, friendships, family, sports, our marriage and starting a family. He is incredibly generous with his time, energy and heart. Kevin makes friends so easily because he always sees the best in people. We both value honesty, respect and supporting each other. He provides comfort and encouragement in stressful times. We can be complete goofballs together but also have deep honest conversations. He is spontaneous and courageous. I really love watching him with our nieces and nephews too. He can have as much fun playing 2 on 2 football, driveway roller hockey, rolling down a hill or having a dance party as they do with him. Kevin has the biggest heart and an innate love and energy for life that is inspiring and contagious.

How We Met

We met in college through mutual friends and started dating in 2015. In 2018, we had a small wedding ceremony with immediate family at a local park with a close friend as our officiant.

Advice to Future Child

Be your authentic self without fear of judgment to allow yourself to enjoy life to its fullest. Love deeply, work hard and be kind and generous to others.

Perspectives on Open Adoption

We want our relationship with our child’s birth mother to be a blessing to them, our child and us! We want to respect the birth mother's boundaries and desired relationship and will happily discuss what works best for everyone involved while keeping the child's best interests a priority. We want our children to have healthy relationships, including the relationship they have with you. Their sense of self will be strengthened by knowing where and who they come from. We hope we can work together with you in answering their questions and ensuring they feel safe asking them.

Favorite Holiday/Tradition: Every year we celebrate Kristen’s birthday and our anniversary with a weekend trip to Cleveland and have dinner at our favorite seafood restaurant.
