We have both been high school teachers for the past 15 years, and it gives us great happiness and satisfaction to nurture young people towards success and towards becoming good people. We are both very close with our families; Marc with his mother in Hilo and his brother in Denver, and Precila with her parents and siblings in Cebu and her brother in Sydney. Even though we live far away, we make sure to travel to spend time with them every year. When not teaching or traveling, we enjoy taking our dog Maka on walks on the beach and in our neighborhood. We are both avid sports fans and enjoy watching any type of match. We also love going to the theater to enjoy plays and concerts.
We would very much like to grow our family. We really feel a purpose to care for and nurture children and look forward to the experiences and lessons we are able to provide to our future child/children. As teachers, we have seen the beauty, fun, and meaning of having our own children to rear and support them to become good citizens in our community. We believe that we are blessed with skills, wisdom, and good values to become great parents.
We live in Ewa Beach, Hawaii, a suburb of Oahu. It is a very clean and quiet area, many of its residents are young families. Both our families are very supportive and oriented with togetherness. We are happy and lucky to have them in our lives. We always communicate with them and spend some precious times together during the holidays.
Precila described by Marc: I would describe Precila as someone who always cares about doing the right thing, living a life of faith in God and integrity and kindness towards others. She is a very hard worker, and when she is committed to something, there is no one more tenacious than her.
Marc described by Precila: I would describe Marc as someone who is a very thoughtful person and who cares about me, my family, and his family so much. He never forgets to make us all feel supported and loved. Also, as a teacher, Marc loves teaching young kids good values and has also been very supportive of them. He is, indeed, a kind and loving person.
We met on an online international dating site, and quickly hit it off because we were both English teachers. We eventually moved to live together in Vietnam teaching English. After a year of teaching there, we moved to Hawaii, got married, and resumed our teaching careers here.
Follow your passion in life. Treat others the way you want to be treated. Spend some of your time in service to others. Cherish your friendships and be loyal to them. Treasure your family always as they are the most precious people in your life. Always respect your elders and know that love and acceptance is the most important thing to find great friendships and unfathomable happiness.
We are open to the prospect of an open adoption. Whatever is in the best interests of the child will be the course we will choose always.
