All About Russell & Beki

Russell is a farmer just a few miles out of town. He manages his family's land and also works for a larger company as a farmhand. His hobbies include fixing things, being around his friends and family and cooking. Beki is a barista and she loves to meet new people. Her hobbies include baking, decorating and being with family. We are both very friendly, outgoing people. We are so happy to be with each other whenever we can but are both very independent as well.

Why Adoption?

I am not able to conceive naturally. I lost both fallopian tube's due to endometriosis. We both know we were meant to be parents. During all family events and gatherings, we gravitate towards the kids. We both have so much joy and love in our hearts and are so hopeful to start our family through adoption.

Family & Home

We live in a very small town surrounded by farmland. It's a very safe and friendly town. We have a 5 bedroom home with no active alley and a huge backyard. We know all of our neighbors and we are all very friendly towards each other. Russell and I both come from large families. We Gather for all major holidays and sometimes just a random night during the week to visit with grandma, play cards or just catch up with each other. Our community is mainly Caucasian and Native American. However in our direct families we have both Hispanic and African family members so we get to see all kinds of culture.

How others describe me

The best way I can describe Beki is someone who makes everyone feel safe and welcome. She is an absolute ray of sunshine. Beki is friendly and personable— making sure everyone is involved. When she smiles, she smiles with her whole face. You can truly feel the warmth of her soul.

It's so hard to sum up the most amazing person that ever entered my life, but I'll try. Russell radiates joy everywhere he goes. He is patient and understanding. He is always smiling and laughing. Russell grew up with a family that taught him to work hard which made him into a handyman of many talents and trades. Russell is trustworthy and makes sure everyone is well cared for. He's always putting others before himself. He has so much love to give.

How We Met

We met 7.5 years ago through a mutual friend. She thought we were perfect for each other and she was right. We've been married 5 years and are still as happy as ever.

Advice to Future Child

You be you. We want you to grow into the person you were meant to be. We promise to always encourage you and think you are the best person on the planet (cuz you are). We will help you learn to be self-sufficient but always know we are here for you every step of the way.

Perspectives on Open Adoption

The more people there are to love you, the better off you are. Russell and I are such open and understanding people. We have nothing but good thoughts and excitement into welcoming hopefully not just the biological parents along for the ride, but the extended family as well.
