We were united in marriage in March of 2022. Our wedding was a magical day surrounded by family and friends. We both have large extended families from all over the country with most of them remaining around Minnesota. We are blessed to remain close with our siblings, especially Ryan’s sisters. We have 6 nephews and 3 nieces. In August of 2022 shortly after we were married, we got a chocolate lab whom Meaghan chose the name Rex, and Ryan instantly loved it because his name started with an “R”. Rex quickly stole our hearts. He remains a very important fixture in our everyday lives.
Ryan is an extremely hard worker; he is very dedicated to his family and friends. He is very outgoing and makes friends easily. He finds joy in the simple things. He loves spending time doing any outdoor activity. Especially hunting and fishing. He enjoys evening walks with Meaghan and Rex, the family dog. He also really enjoys cooking and coming up with tasty new creations.
Meaghan is introverted and shy but also a hard worker and very caring. She is compassionate and very loving to all those around her. She has very strong motherly instincts and treats all of her nieces and nephews as well as the daycare kiddos as if they were her own. One of Meaghan’s favorite sayings is “We may not have it all together but, together we have it all!”
Rex is a Chocolate Labrador Retriever. When he wants to have energy, he has the zoomies to no end otherwise, he is a well-mannered, relaxed dog! He absolutely adores the daycare kids and is so gentle with them. He loves to hunt and swim. He can be a cuddle bug when he wants to and loves to have his head and ears rubbed.
Infertility, which led to a cancer diagnosis for Meaghan is what has led us to Adoption. We are thanking God every day for keeping Meaghan safe and continuing to keep her healthy. We know God has a plan, we just don’t always know what that plan is at the time. We do know now that He put us on this earth to help birth parents raise an incredible little human and we are so ready to help with that task!
We currently live in a rural area but one day hope to move to the country where we are able to let our children run and explore the beautiful outdoors our world has to offer. We have a large backyard for the kids to explore and play in the rather large sandbox Ryan built on his own. We look forward to the day we can see our own children playing in the sandbox right along with all of the daycare children. We live in a wonderful neighborhood where we get to hang out and just be ourselves with everyone. The community is wonderful and always has a smile.
We both have very close family relationships. We spend a lot of time with each other's families and do many activities with our 6 nephews and 3 nieces along with our additional god-daughter and god-son. We remain very close with Ryan’s sisters. Meaghan’s parents live just a block away from us currently so we get to see them almost daily. Meaghan’s younger brother passed away from Cystic Fibrosis 6 years ago but, is still talked about almost daily and will continue to be talked about when children come home to us.
Meaghan has the most beautiful and kind heart. She continuously shows how devoted she is to her family and friends. Getting to watch her help children warm up and truly show their personalities is a true joy. She is such an incredible caregiver for children. I love her ability to help them realize the potential they have. We get to see the best of each other when we travel on our many adventures. There is no one else in the world I’d love to explore with more for the rest of my life. She truly is a precious gem.
Ryan is one of the most caring and selfless individuals I have ever known. He has a good sense of humor and is so fun to be around. Seeing him interact with our nieces and nephews as well as all of the daycare children when he has a day off from work melts my heart and really shows me just how amazing of a father he will be one day! I love that Ryan is always willing to help anyone whether it be on a small or large project! He is a jack of all trades.
We may have met when we both swiped right. From that moment on the rest is history. Meaghan has always been Ryan’s safe haven, return to zero, the person he could be himself with. Meaghan still thanks her lucky star in heaven for pushing them to go on their first date because 8 years later here we are looking to start a family!
Always follow your dreams and never believe your dreams are too big!
We are here to provide love and support not only for the child coming into our home but also to the birth parent and their family. We want to be there to support them for the good times and the bad and help them along the way. We will set boundaries and allow for visits and communication to be had between the child and birth parent. We want to see that relationship thrive just like the child’s relationship with us thrives.
