We are Aaron and Bradi. We are high school sweethearts and are celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary this year! We have one son, Harrison, who is 3 years old. We love to be adventurous and be outside as much as we can. We both enjoy to cook and try new recipes. Our families are everything to us! We are lucky to live close to most of our family and enjoy spending our time with them.
We have been blessed by the gift of adoption already and have loved the added amount of family and community it has brought to our lives. It is the way for us to grow our family and we are hopeful to continue that growth.
We love our neighborhood! We live in an older, well established neighborhood just down from the mountains. We have a lot of young couples in our area as well as older couples. Our home was built in the 70’s and is a super cozy 5 bedroom 3 bath house with a nice yard. We are within minutes from our schools, library, grocery stores, hospital, and so many parks. We have very supportive families. With the exception of one family member living in Georgia, the remainder of our family lives within 30 minutes from our house. We are extremely close with both sides of our families and get to see everyone often.
Aaron is one of the most determined and dedicated people. Once he sets his mind to do something he won’t let anything stop him. He is also incredibly compassionate and is the person in both families that everyone turns to when they need someone. He cares deeply for others and is always the first to drop everything to go help.
Bradi loves hard! She has one of the most open hearts to people and finds the good in others. She rarely has anything negative to say and keeps us looking on the bright side of life. Everyone trusts her and knows they can confide in her because of her integrity.
The best advice we could give is that we live in a world that looks for the easiest route to things but that isn’t always what brings happiness. Sometimes you have to go through the mud and sticky of life to get the best joys! And it is totally worth the hard work!
We have experience with open adoption and are very grateful for it. In our opinion and witnessing it first hand, we feel that open adoptions allow for an overall sense of identity. We feel like the child knows the situation and won’t have as many questions regarding the “why” which will aid down the road. It has been such a huge blessing to our son’s biological families to continue to see him grow and have that relationship with him. We feel it is healing and aids in the healing for all parties included.
