All About Aaron & Christa

We're Aaron and Christa, and we're thrilled to open our hearts and share a glimpse into our lives with you. For the past 8 years, our journey has been woven with threads of love, understanding, and respect, forming the foundation of our enduring relationship. As partners, we've embraced life's joys and challenges, growing closer with each shared experience.

Why Adoption?

Eager to extend our love and life experiences to a child, we began discussing the prospect of expanding our family. While Aaron was enthusiastic about the idea, Christa was born with a congenital anomaly in her uterus, leading to high rates of miscarriages and stillbirths. Recognizing early on that maintaining a pregnancy would be extremely challenging, we explored alternative paths to parenthood. It became evident that adoption was the best route for us to realize our dream of starting a family.

Family & Home

Our cozy home sits in a charming coastal Oregon town, where community bonds run deep. Sharing our space with 2 dogs and 3 cats, each with their unique charm, brings immense joy to our lives. With ample fresh air and natural wonders, there's endless exploration for a child to discover. You'll often find us at the beach collecting rocks, hiking the coast with our furry companions, or indulging in quiet evenings by the fire with a good book. Beyond our local adventures, we're passionate about exploring new cultures and places worldwide,and are eager to share these experiences with a child. Open-mindedness and respect for diversity are core values we hold dear. Our flexible daily life ensures ample time to nurture and support a child in a stable and loving environment. We're thrilled not only to welcome a child and their birth family into our hearts but also to embrace them alongside our extended family and friends.

How others describe me

Aaron is the type of person who would readily give someone the shirt off his back if they were in need. He is not afraid to show emotion and is kind and patient. He is extremely resourceful and creative, coming up with solutions to problems with little effort. Christa is deeply connected to the ones she loves. She is understanding and tries to find the source of light in every situation. She is a critical thinker who bases her thoughts and ideas on others’ emotions and view of the world.

How We Met

We met online! Our first date began at a nearby pub, where despite a few uncomfortable silences, there was an undeniable sense of ease between us. Christa took the initiative to ask Aaron out for a second date, this time to see a movie. However, our plans were thwarted by a rainstorm that caused a power outage at the theater during a Marvel movie screening! Standing together in the pouring rain, we shared a moment that solidified our connection, and we knew we had found something special.

Advice to Future Child

First and foremost, we encourage you to embrace open-mindedness as a guiding principle in your life. Keep your mind open to new ideas, perspectives, and possibilities. By remaining open-minded, you'll discover a world of endless opportunities and possibilities waiting to be explored.

We aspire to connect with an expectant parent(s) who values a supportive, open relationship with us. We're eager about open adoption because it allows ongoing connections with birth parents, fostering transparency and unity within our family. By embracing open adoption, we will expand our family network and create a supportive environment filled with diverse perspectives and love.
