Our names are Andy and Austin, and we are super excited to grow our family. We are a couple of goofballs with a lot of extra love to share – we hope to be able to share our love of dogs, outdoors, board games, and adventures with your child. Thank you for taking the time to get to know us better!
We are a very family-oriented couple, and we have tons of extra love to share. We realize we are very privileged to be able to provide a safe and stable home for a child, and we want to do exactly that.
We live in a single-family house in an established neighborhood in the California Bay Area. We are surrounded by families of all kinds - our next-door neighbors have a toddler, across the street are a couple of elementary school-aged children, and down the street, we are close with a family of four, including two teenagers that have made very clear they would love to babysit for us! We also have plenty of extended family in California that we see often, with many young nieces, nephews, and cousins - we are very lucky to have the amount of love and support surrounding us that we do.
Andy described by Austin: There is not enough space on this page to adequately describe everything that Andy is, so just this one word will have to do: “incredible.” Confident but modest, smart yet humble, and with a heart full of compassion – Andy will do just about anything if it brings happiness to those he loves. Whether helping friends move, driving to a family member’s house to work on a project, or simply surprising me with breakfast in bed, Andy is always thinking of how to brighten someone else’s day.
Austin described by Andy: Austin has a smile for nearly every occasion. Whether it is his goofy grin when being silly, his mischievous smile when he’s about to win in a game, or his welcome-home smile when I get in after a long day at work, he always brings cheer and joy to his friends and family. Seeing his smile always warms my heart and melts away the stress of the day.
The heartfelt grin on Austin’s face whenever we get to visit our nieces always brings me joy. His excitement to see them and play with them, patience when they are being troublesome, and most of all his obvious love for them make it obvious to me that he will be an amazing father.
We met in February 2014 on a dating website. We were living 80 miles away from each other - our first date was lunch at a restaurant halfway between us, followed by an impromptu viewing of The Lego Movie. We both knew right away that we had something special with each other.
Our love for you is unconditional. No matter what happens, we will always love you.
The most important thing you can do is love yourself and treat yourself well.
You have all the support in the world, don’t be afraid of failure - we will always be here to pick you back up.
Always follow the golden rule: “do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
We understand how important it is for any child to know who their birth mother is, and how important it can be for the birth mother to know that the child is thriving. We will respect any request for an open or closed adoption - in the case of an open adoption, we will all work together to come up with a contact plan that everybody is comfortable with.
