About Leslie

Leslie is kind, adventurous, and full of love. She works from home for a software company, which gives her the flexibility to focus on family, friends, and the things she enjoys most. She has a passion for traveling, cooking, gardening, and spending time outdoors—whether it’s hiking, camping, or relaxing at the beach. Music, theatre, and the arts bring her joy, as do cheering on her favorite baseball team and making holidays feel extra special for loved ones. Leslie can’t wait to share her sense of curiosity, creativity, and joy with a child, filling their life with love, encouragement, and magical memories.

About Chris

Chris is generous, hardworking, and fun-loving, with a natural ability to make people feel comfortable and valued. He works as a barber, a career he loves for both the craft and the daily connections with people. A big Cleveland Guardians fan, he also enjoys playing guitar, exploring antique shops, traveling, and reading. Chris has a love of nostalgia and history, which shines through in his favorite hobby—driving his vintage Cadillac on scenic roads with music playing. He is so excited to become a dad and looks forward to sharing his passions, creating family traditions, and filling a child’s life with love, laughter, and adventure.

About Us

Together, we love traveling, exploring museums, taking road trips, watching baseball, going to concerts, and spending time with our two dogs, Vito and Lady. What we love most, though, is simply being together—finding joy in the little things and creating special memories. We are so excited to grow our family through adoption and can’t wait to share our love, traditions, and adventures with a child.

Why Adoption?

Adoption has always been close to our hearts. Leslie has known since she was young that she wanted to adopt one day. Her sister, whom she loves dearly, was adopted, and she can't imagine her life without her. Her paternal grandmother was also adopted and often spoke about the deep gratitude she felt for her adoptive family.

Chris is 100% on board and shares this passion, not only for welcoming a child into our home but also for honoring and supporting their birth parent in any way we can. Together, we are excited to embark on this journey with open hearts and deep respect for everyone involved.

Family & Home

Our home is a vibrant suburban retreat designed with kids and love in mind! Nestled in a friendly neighborhood with tree-lined sidewalks and parks nearby, our house features a large, fully fenced backyard perfect for running, playing tag, or lying in the grass watching clouds drift by. The yard is full of life, with birds, butterflies, and the occasional visiting rabbit, giving little ones daily chances to connect with nature.

Inside, your child will have their own cozy bedroom (just waiting for their personal touch!), a dedicated playroom for creative adventures, and a private bathroom. We’ve set up our home to encourage both energetic play and quiet moments—whether that’s building pillow forts in the living room, drawing at the kitchen table (where we often make messy art together), or reading in a sunny nook.

Weekends here mean pancake breakfasts, backyard picnics, and neighbors dropping by with popsicles—because community matters to us too. With room to roam safely indoors and out, our home is where childhood unfolds naturally, full of laughter and discovery. Most importantly, we’ve left space for their favorite colors, toys, and traditions—because this will be their home in every way.

We can’t wait to fill these walls with even more love and joy as we grow our family!

And when we’re not at home, we love escaping to our peaceful patch of land in the countryside—a special place where we camp under the stars, roast marshmallows, and spend slow summer days exploring nature together. It’s the perfect spot to unplug, breathe deep, and make memories surrounded by wide-open spaces

Our family & close friends are all in the exciting stage of growing their families, which means your child will have so many built-in friends from the very start! Our brothers, sister, and closest friends all have young kids of varying ages, and we love watching them grow up together. From playdates to holidays to family vacations, your child will always have a strong, supportive, and loving community of little friends to share life’s adventures with.

We are lucky to have a small but incredibly close-knit circle of family and friends who mean the world to us. These are the people we celebrate life’s biggest moments with, lean on for support, and share endless laughter with. They have been with us every step of our journey, and their excitement for our adoption is overwhelming. We know that your child will be surrounded by so much love, encouragement, and support from day one, with a whole community ready to welcome them with open arms.

About Chris (from Leslie’s perspective)

Chris is the most generous and kindhearted person I know, and I feel so lucky to call him my best friend. He has a way of making everyone around him feel valued and cared for, and he brings so much laughter and warmth into our home. I admire how hard he works as a barber, not just because he loves his craft, but because he genuinely cares about people and the connections he makes with them. Whether he’s playing guitar, hunting for treasures in antique shops, or cheering on the Cleveland Guardians, Chris always finds joy in the moment and brings me along for the ride. He is thoughtful, fun, and endlessly supportive, and I know without a doubt he will be the most loving and devoted father.

About Leslie (from Chris’s perspective)

Leslie is the most devoted and loving person I know, especially when it comes to family and children. Before working in the software industry, she spent years in the early childhood field, including time working with children with special needs, which gave her such patience, compassion, and an incredible ability to meet kids right where they are. She is also deeply committed to giving back to her community, whether it’s volunteering at the local food bank, serving meals at the homeless shelter, or helping care for dogs at the animal shelter. Leslie pours her heart into everything she does, and I’ve seen firsthand how she makes people feel welcomed, valued, and loved. She is adventurous, fun, and endlessly caring, and I know she will be the kind of mother who gives a child both unconditional love and a strong foundation to grow into who they’re meant to be.

How We Met

Our love story started in the best way—through music. We first met at a concert through mutual friends, but it wasn’t until we later matched on a dating app that we really connected. From our very first conversation, it felt like we had known each other forever. We had so much in common and instantly clicked, always having the best time together no matter what we were doing. After years of love, laughter, and adventures, we eloped to Las Vegas in 2022, surrounded by 20 of our closest friends and family. It was the perfect celebration of our relationship—fun, meaningful, and full of love. Now, we’re so excited to take the next step in our journey by growing our family through adoption.

Advice to Future Child

Dear Little One,

From your first breath to our last, we promise you this: you will be loved beyond measure. Every scraped knee will have kisses, every nightmare will have comfort, every dream will have cheerleaders. We will move mountains to make sure you have everything you need - not just toys and clothes, but confidence, security, and the freedom to become exactly who you're meant to be. No challenge will be too big, no request too small. If you need it, we'll find a way. If you dream it, we'll help make it real. Your happiness will be our life's work, your smile our greatest reward.

As we build this beautiful life together, we want you to know that before you were ours, you were loved. Loved by the ones who gave you life, whose courage and sacrifice we will always speak of with the deepest respect. Your first family is part of your story forever, and we promise to honor that with every chapter we write together.

We want you to grow up knowing your whole story matters - your heritage, your roots, every beautiful piece that makes you who you are. Whether through pictures, letters, visits, or quiet moments when we talk about where you come from, we'll make sure you always feel connected to all the love that surrounds you.

Your birth family gave us the greatest gift, and we will spend our lives making sure you know: you were loved from the very beginning, by all of us, in different ways that all matter.

Perspectives on Open Adoption

We believe that open adoption can be a beautiful way to surround a child with even more love. Our preference is an open adoption, as we would love to welcome birth parents into our extended family and give them the opportunity to watch their child grow up alongside us. We believe that a child benefits from knowing their full story and having ongoing connections with the people who love them most. At the same time, we understand and deeply respect that every situation is unique, and if a birth parent chooses not to have an open relationship, we will fully honor that decision. No matter what, we are committed to building a foundation of love, trust, and respect so that the child always feels secure, cherished, and supported in knowing where they come from.

Favorite Holiday/Tradition: Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because it’s a time to reflect on gratitude, and November is extra special with birthdays for my wife, my dad, and even our dogs. I love celebrating and spoiling them all month long.
