All About Joe & Abby

Hello there!

We are so excited for you to review our profile and have a glimpse into our lives! We can't wait to begin this next chapter. We wish you many blessings in your decision ahead. Joe and I have been together for nine years and married for seven. We love to go camping, hiking, and doing anything outdoors. We have always wanted to grow our family and knew that adoption is the way we wanted to go. We have a large extended family that is very loving, supportive, and dependable. We hope you enjoy reading about us!

Why Adoption?

We have always wanted to start a family as soon as we got together! We struggled through trying to conceive for three years and it just wasn't in the cards for us. It is an unexplained infertility. We tried many different things. Joe's sister is also unable to have kids. We then immediately knew that we wanted to adopt. We have so much love to give and can't wait to share it with our little one. We promise to love your child unconditionally. We are open-minded, kind-hearted, and loving people. Adding a second family and doubling the amount of love this child will receive will be incredible. Family is the greatest gift, nothing in the world is more important.

Family & Home

Our house is a ranch-style one level with a garage and a fenced-in back yard. We have a swimming pool that we enjoy all summer. Our community is very warm and welcoming. Our elementary and middle school is within walking distance of our home. There is also a park and sports complex nearby.

Abby's parents are both retired school teachers her mom still substitutes because she loves the children so much. Her Dad also does real estate. Joe's Dad is retired and his mom does medical billing. Our parents are so excited to add to the family. Abby has a brother and two nephews. Joe has a sister. Our family gets together for holidays and birthdays every year. They live close by so we will have lots of help without little ones. Celebrating holidays is very important to us. We love getting dressed up giving out gifts and treats for the trick or treaters. Our neighborhood is one of the most popular for that!

How others describe me

Joe works as an aircraft mechanic at the airport. He was in the Air Force for six years and loved it. His father retired from the Coast Guard. He is a wonderful cook and does most of the cooking at home! He barbeques a lot during the summer. Joe played soccer growing up and loves to play golf in his spare time. He enjoys watching all sports. He has a very loving and supportive family.

Abby loves to be outside. Nature is the best place to be. She loves doing outdoor activities and traveling to new places. She works as a manager at a restaurant. She is also a licensed esthetician in skincare. Playing with the dogs and going for walks is what she enjoys in her free time. Abby loves to exercise and garden. She also loves to read books. She has a wonderful family.

How We Met

We met nine years ago on a blind date and instantly knew that it was meant to be! We dated for a year then got engaged. We were married in a church with all of our friends and family there. After getting married we immediately wanted to start a family. We are so excited to finally begin our adventure into parenthood.

We have two dogs Bailey and Bo that are best buddies. They keep each other company and love to play together. We both have a huge love for all animals. We enjoy having barbeques, swimming in our pool, and traveling. Going out to eat and trying new foods is also something we like to do. We are always laughing and having fun, dance moves happen often in our house.

Advice to Future Child

Our advice to our future child will be you can do or be anything you want to be. We will be here to support you no matter which path you take. The world can be hard and unfair sometimes but the good and the beauty that comes along with it make it all worthwhile! We love adventures, nature, and seeing all the miracles that are just outside our doors! We will teach them to be kind and always lend a helping hand.

We go on a couple of trips every year. We are eventually going to get a camper so we can travel anywhere we like. We love going to the lake, Gatlinburg, and the beach when we can. We go to a pumpkin patch and the zoo every year as well.

Perspectives on Open Adoption

We believe that open adoption is a great way for our child to know their birth parent(s). We love communication and having as many people as possible to help out along the way. We will always be informative and open to any and everything. We are so excited to start our family. Thank you for taking the time to learn about us!
