All About Nick & Paige

Nicholas: I am calm and laid back. I enjoy the simple things in life. My family makes me incredibly happy along with a good steak. I love the outdoors and being active like working in the yard or running around with the kids.

Paige: I am a super active and happy person. Growing up with a large family I learned to adapt to all situations. I handle stress well. I love my family, running, veggies, and a good beach day.

Why Adoption?

We love our kids more than anything. We love seeing them smile, learn, and even grow. We take pride in knowing we taught them everything that they need to be strong, loved, and independent adults. We can't wait to add another little personality into our lives.

Family & Home

Our home is within minutes from most of our family. We can actually walk to a few of our siblings’ homes. We love the outdoors. Lately, that has consisted of walks in the neighborhood jumping on the trampoline or running through the sprinkler. We also love a good Disney movie cuddled up on the sofa. The whole family is big popcorn lovers. Our church family is amazing. They rally around us with love and support. We are also very close with our families and see them multiple times a week for “cousin play dates”. Currently, our children have 22 cousins. Paige has 4 brothers and 5 sisters. Nicholas has one sister. Both sets of grandparents adore the kids.

How others describe me

Words by Nicholas: Paige is outgoing, energetic, and motivated. I love how caring and considerate she is. She always puts me first before herself. She knows how to take care of me and loves our family.

Words by Paige: Nick is caring, loving, quiet, chill, active, understanding. He works really hard to care for our family.

How We Met

We met when Paige was 18, and I was 21. We were taking a physics college class. I heard that Paige was going to go to a study group for a big test we had the next day. I had to get to know her better. Her smile lit up the room. It soon became the thing that made me the happiest person in the world. After that night, we started dating immediately. We have been each other's best friends ever since.

Advice to Future Child

We promise that we will love you with all of our hearts and that you will be raised in a home full of love and laughter.

We promise you will always know the love and courage of your biological family. We will share with you any information about your family that you want to know.

We promise to document all of the little moments and never miss a second of loving you.

Perspectives on Open Adoption

We love open adoption. We believe that clarity and understanding are the best ways to allow everyone to be the best versions of themselves. We have loved knowing our son’s first mom and we continue to have a close relationship with her. When we adopt our son we also gained his first family as ours. Ultimately, the decision is the choice of the biological family. We wish to support and love them in whatever they decide.

Favorite Movie: Wedding Date
Favorite Holiday/Tradition: Growing up, my family always hosted a huge 4th of July fireworks show. I loved when it got dark and everyone was excited to see the first fireworks go off. The excitement and joy carried on to my teen years and adult life. Fireworks always make my whole family excited and smile from ear to ear.
Hobbies/Interests: playing with the kids, dancing in the kitchen, photography, exercising
Dream Vacation: an island with the family, exploring different beaches and soaking up different cultures
If I Could Choose a Superpower: the ability to cheer people up whenever they need it
