All About Tim & Katelyn

Hello! We are Tim and Katelyn. We have been together for almost 7 years and married for 5 years. Our faith and family are key parts of our lives. We are both involved in various areas of our church community, and we both have large extended families that we see often. We both love Wisconsin sports (Packers, Badgers, Brewers, Bucks), and Tim is a big Detroit Red Wings fan as well.

We know this must be a difficult time for you. Thank you for taking the time to contemplate adoption and possibly considering us as a family for your baby. We have so much unconditional love to give and cannot wait to become parents. Please know that you are in our prayers no matter what your decision is. God bless you!

Why Adoption?

We both thought about adoption over the years and more recently felt called to adopt. We have multiple family members in our extended family that have joined our family through adoption. When we struggled to conceive, we began to also pursue adoption. We both desire to be parents and feel we have a lot of love to give. We spend a lot of time with our nieces and nephew as well as our friends’ kiddos so we have a decent amount of experience for not having any children of our own yet!

Family & Home

We live in Wisconsin in a smaller city in a nice neighborhood near a park/playground with walking paths and bike trails nearby. We own our own home and currently have 2 spare bedrooms for kids rooms.

We have a vibrant church community and a great group of friends with many children. They are very supportive and would gladly welcome your child into their lives.

We are close to both of our families and see them several times a month. We both have large extended families which means several gatherings each year. Everyone is open and very excited to have a baby join our family!

How others describe me

Tim is very generous, caring, hardworking, easygoing, thoughtful, understanding, and goofy. He is always looking for ways to help others and put others first - from holding a door open, to helping the elderly parishioners at Mass get in and out of their cars safely, to shoveling snow for someone, helping others move, and even helping out by doing the dishes at our many family gatherings- all his and Katelyn's aunts love him!

Katelyn is warm, loving, hardworking, a problem solver, and likes to plan but is also easy-going. She likes to help others - through her job where she contributes to improving patients' lives - and through her community - being a positive role model for high school students and by babysitting for friends' children.

how we met

How We Met

We met on a blind date thanks to a couple we both know after Tim returned from his last deployment to the Middle East. Our first date was at a local restaurant, and we then went for a walk and got ice cream. We realized we were both going to the Packers shareholder meeting the next day so we decided to go together. We prayed a rosary on the way there and realized we both loved the TV show The X-Files since we were kids. Just over a year later we were engaged, and we were married 9 months later!

Advice to Future Child

Please know that you are loved unconditionally. We love you already and we haven’t even met you yet. We cherish you. Your birth parents love you very much. They will always be talked about lovingly in our home. They gave us the greatest possible gift - you!

God loves you. Always know that. Faith is the best gift we have been given and we hope to pass that on to you.

Just try your best! It’s OK to fail. Learn from your mistakes. We will be there to help you and be your biggest cheerleaders whether you do well or not.

We are here for you and you can talk to us about anything. We will try our best to help.

Life is not easy but it is up to you how you react to them. Don’t waste the trials and suffering in life - these experiences stretch you and help you grow - if you let them. We have been through several trials that have made us more patient, grateful, and hopefully will make us better parents for you.

Perspectives on Open Adoption

We would prefer an open adoption if the birth parent(s) are open to it as well. We’d like to get to know the birth parent(s). We hope that our child will be able to get to know his/her birth family and know where he/she comes from and have his/her questions answered. Depending on location, we hope to have visits and share updates/photos as well.
